Severe stomach pain can really be distressing and painful. Stomach pain is usually accompanied by nausea, vomiting, reflux, cramping and burning sensation. It may also accompany by constipation or even diarrhea. So what really cause stomach pain? And what are the treatments you will need to do if you were stuck by this condition.

- Appendicitis – This is an inflammation of the appendix, which may cause severe pain especially in the lower left side of the stomach.

- Testicular torsion – This is a condition were the testis is twisted and have torsion on it. - Food poisoning – You may experience stomach pain if you have eaten spoiled food. Spoiled food may contain hundreds or even millions of different kinds of bacteria and viruses, which may harm your digestive tract. The result of eating a spoiled food is sharp pain, headache, dizziness and diarrhea.
Medications are essential parts of relieving symptoms. Activated charcoal tablets also may help. If the pain is severe in your stomach and occurs after meals, antacids may provide some relief, especially if you feel indigestion or heart burn. Avoid high fat foods, citrus, greasy or fried foods, alcohol, caffeine, and carbonated beverages. On the other hand if stomach pain still persist consult your doctor immediately for proper treatment.
